Eric Squirrel - Councillor

My name is Eric Squirrel, Born Oct,24,1978, I have 2 boys, 18 and 23. My residence has been in Yellow Quill for most of my life. Raised by my Grandmother Olive Squirrel. My mother is Maregret Whitehead, Father is Roger Gill. I am a survivor of Residential School, Lestock (Muskowgen) and Duck Lake (St Michaels). Growing up I did a lot of camping, and traditional practices.This is where I picked up our language from, I can speak and understand fairly well. 

A bit about my education 

Graduated 1999-2000 School Year in RoseValley, 

Completed my Red Seal Journeyman Certificate in Carpentry, 2008, which Carpentry for 18 yrs. 

Councilman for 5yrs to this date. 

I would like to add that I am very humbled and honoured to be one of seven Council Members, and look forward to the coming years. As far as i know the beginning is always the hardest, then gets easier with time, pursuing the same dream.
